Often referred to the heart cave or the spiritual heart – which gives and takes in perfect balance.
Meditations at the heart is said to be one of the surest ways to cultivate a one-pointed mind which is free of pain & sorrow. As you inhale, sense prana moving in through this channel toward hridaya, located at the front of the spine. As you exhale, sense your awareness moving back toward the centre of the chest. With each breath feel your heart open and soften. Allow yourself to be deeply nourished as you clear the path toward your heart. With awareness centered in the heart, sense the flame of a candle burning in this place. As you inhale the light from the flame expands to fill the heart space, as your exhale, the light returns back to its central flame. Eventually let og the breath and rest your awareness in the light of the heart.
Meditation: The benefits of chanting or meditating on “OM” include :
