What If Your Chakras Aren’t Blocked?

Let’s challenge everything you thought you knew about Chakras…. That which propels, causes movement, and animates is a CHAKRA..
Chakras are NOT physical things; they exist in the subtle body . There are points which prana (the life force) moves out from.

Common misconceptions about the chakras

  • Chakras can “Open” , “close” or become “blocked” like an energy pipe line
  • Unblocking, aligning or opening the chakras will fix your all of your problems
  • Imagining colours and repeating affirmations is the best practice related to the chakras
  • Let’s be real, you are not broken.

Chakras can be a powerful tool on the yogic path, if we understand their purpose in the practice. Meditating on a chakra means internalizing our awareness,, not sending it outward. When the chakras open inwardly, they reveal the subtle inner experience of consciousness, which allow us to cross over from physical reality into higher states of consciousness.
Focus on the location of the chakra within the spine, instead of the external point. Use the associated element, mantras, yantras and mudras to deepen awareness of that place, but remember that - that chakra is nothing more than the energetic origin point. If you allow yourself to get attached to the manifestations, you have missed the point.
